I graduated from Wartburg College in 2020, where I studied both history and chemistry.
I continued my education right away, achieving a Masters degree from Western Illinois University from the nationally recognized museum studies program.
Shortly after graduating, I began work as the Director of the Harlan-Lincoln House and the archive specialist at Iowa Wesleyan University. Tragically, the school was forced to close at the close of their 2023 academic year due to financial hardships expatriated by the pandemic and a lack of state government support.
I began work as an independent museum contractor in the summer of 2023, and continue to serve a variety of museum throughout Henry County. I also am a tutor of chemistry and physics at Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, Iowa.
To date, my biggest achievement has been my work at the Henry County Heritage Trust in the creation of the Iowa Wesleyan Archives: a collection of items gifted and rescued from the college after its closing. In less than a year, I cataloged over 10,000 items into a database for the museum to use, organized the layout of the items on shelves and file cabinets, and designed a series of exhibits with the confines of the archives room, with the help of some incredible volunteers, of course.
